Composer Grant Fonda – who created the soundtrack for Journey to Hope – refers to himself as the emotional architect of a story.
"Being a composer is a really interesting process because I basically get to be the emotional architect for the core of a story," Grant shared with us in an interview after the Journey to Hope recording sessions. "I get to support the undertones of what you see, and also write the subtext of what you don't see."
We interviewed Grant after he and his team recorded strings and woodwinds for the Journey to Hope soundtrack at Blackbird Studio in Nashville.
Grant's work spans a variety of projects, including studio films with Amazon and Paramount, independent films and documentaries.
"I believe, asa Christian, that all stories point to a redeemer," Grant said. "And so when we get to tell stories that do that very explicitly, it's near and dear to my heart."
